Study Modes
Master the different study modes in Quantilo to optimize your learning.
Quantilo offers multiple ways to study your cards. Choose the mode that fits your needs.
Standard Review
The default study mode uses spaced repetition:
- Cards appear based on their scheduled due date
- Review each card and rate your recall
- The algorithm adjusts future intervals
Rating Your Recall
- Again — Forgot completely, show soon
- Hard — Struggled but got it, shorter interval
- Good — Remembered well, normal interval
- Easy — Perfect recall, longer interval
Quick Review
For a faster session:
- Skip the rating step
- Cards auto-advance after reveal
- All cards marked as "Good"
- Great for daily maintenance
To enable: Click the ⚡ icon before starting study.
Cram Mode
When you need to study everything:
- Ignores spaced repetition schedule
- Shows all cards in the deck
- Doesn't affect normal scheduling
- Perfect before exams
To enable: Click "Cram" instead of "Study".
Learn Mode
For new cards only:
- Focus on cards you haven't seen
- Gradual introduction of new material
- Set your daily new card limit
- Builds foundation before reviews
Study Settings
Cards Per Session
Limit how many cards you review:
- Go to deck settings
- Set "Max cards per session"
- Study sessions will stop at this limit
New Cards Per Day
Control how many new cards you learn:
- Go to deck settings
- Set "New cards per day"
- Spread learning over time
Order Options
Choose how cards appear:
- Due date — Most overdue first
- Random — Shuffled order
- Sequential — In creation order
- Topic — Grouped by topic
Study Tips
Consistency Over Intensity
- Short daily sessions beat long weekly ones
- 15-20 minutes daily is ideal
- Build a study habit, not a chore
Honest Rating
- Rate how you actually performed
- Don't inflate ratings to "finish faster"
- The algorithm works best with honest input
